The project on Demers Avenue will extend to 10th Street NW/NE so another section of street will be closed off to traffic starting on Monday, October 2nd. It is estimated the work will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.
Updated Traffic Control Plan - Here is the traffic planning showing the detour routes with the additional stretch of Demers Avenue closed to traffic.

Reminder that fall clean-up will be the week of October 2nd through October 6th on the regularly scheduled refuse pickup day. Hazardous waste and electronic drop off will be held on October 7th from 9am to 3pm at Public Works located at 1001 2nd St NE.

By August 18th a HAWK System will be installed at the intersection of 13th Street SE and Bygland Road SE. This new system will help provide a safe crossing for pedestrians that is similar to traffic lights using red lights to stop traffic.
