Place a hold on an item

Learn how to place a hold on an item in the Library's Catalog ⇗:

  1. Login to to your library account in the catalog. ⇗ with your library card number number as your username. If you’ve forgotten your password, contact the library and we can reset it for you.
  2. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken to your account summary you can see what you  have currently checked out what you have already are hold and what is available for pickup.
  3. Search for materials in the catalog for the book you’re looking.
  4. Once you’ve found the title that you want, go to the right side and click place hold.
  5. Next, choose how you would like to be contacted (email, phone call, or text message)
  6. Click submit. At first, a message will say that the hold was not placed because the library already has a copy available. 
  7. Click submit one more time to complete the hold. Now you should have green text telling you that your hold was successfully placed. 
  8. Click continue to complete.

Place multiple items on hold

Learn how to quickly place multiple items on hold from the Library's Catalog ⇗ using the Basket feature:

  1. Login and search for and item as you would for placing a regular hold
  2. Once you find the item you want, click "Add to Basket" on the right hand side of the title. You will see that the basket icon in the top right corner of the screen has updated to "1".
  3. Repeat to add more items you'd like to hold into your basket.
  4. When you are done, click the dropdown menu next to your basket icon and select "Place Holds" and click "Go."
  5. Select the way you'd like to be notified that your holds are ready, then click Submit.
  6. At first, a message will say that the holds were not placed because the library already has a copy available. 
  7. Click submit one more time to complete the hold. Now you should have green text telling you that your hold was successfully placed. 
  8. Click continue to complete.
