Apply for a Library Card

East Grand Forks Residents

All residents within the city limits of EGF are eligible for a free library card with proof of East Grand Forks residency and a photo ID. Stop by the library with your ID and a bill with your current EGF address on it to open your library account.

Children can have a card when they turn five years old. A parent or guardian must be present to register children for a card. Young adults can open their own library card with proof of residency. 

Non Residents

If you reside outside of EGF city limits, there is an annual fee for your library card:

  • All library materials except DVDs and artwork: $10 per year
  • All library materials: $15 per year

Active Duty Military & Teachers at EGF Schools

You are eligible for a free card with a valid ID.
